Steve Paikin poses with members of the SALON Acting Company at the end of his special Walking Tour last summer.
“It is a great pleasure to announce that Steve Paikin, anchor and senior editor of TVO’s flagship current affairs program The Agenda with Steve Paikin, has generously agreed to lead a John A. walk in support of the Sir John A. Macdonald Bicentennial Commission,” said Arthur Milnes, Commissioner of the organization encouraging local, provincial and national activities marking the 200th birthday of Canada’s Father of Confederation in 2015. “Mr. Paikin is one of the most respected journalists in Canada and his walk will allow area residents and tourists alike the rare opportunity to meet this special Ontarian in a unique and historical setting.”
“He is also one of the strongest supporters of the Macdonald Bicentennial movement and our Commission is very much in his debt for all his personal support of our activities.”
Mr. Paikin, who will be accompanied on his July 16 walk by the talented professional actors and musicians from SALON Theatre, the Commission’s governing body, will be starting the event at 4 pm on July 16.
